In a major update, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a significant change to the NEET-MDS 2025 exam pattern, introducing a two-part timed format aimed at strengthening exam security and ensuring fairness.
As per the new structure, the NEET-MDS 2025 question paper will be divided into Part A and Part B, each with fixed time limits. Part A will feature 100 questions to be completed in 75 minutes, while Part B will include 140 questions with a time limit of 105 minutes.
Candidates will not be allowed to skip ahead or revisit any section once the allotted time has lapsed. Each part will automatically begin only after the previous section’s time expires, and once completed, no changes can be made to previous responses.
This change is part of NBEMS’s broader initiative to implement restricted-duration sections across all its computer-based exams, including NEET-PG, NEET-SS, FMGE, DNB-PDCET, GPAT, DPEE, FDST, and FET.
To help candidates familiarize themselves with the new format, a demo test will be available from April 9 on the official NBEMS website under the NEET-MDS 2025 application portal.
The NEET-MDS 2025 examination is scheduled for April 19 and will be conducted at various centers across India. As the sole entrance exam for admission to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs, NEET-MDS plays a critical role in shaping the future of dental graduates in the country.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NBEMS website for further updates, detailed instructions, and important announcements related to the exam.
