The education authorities have directed all non-government aided secondary and higher secondary schools in Ahmedabad, including grant-in-aid and self-financed institutions, to submit details of eligible girl students for the Kanya Grant for the 2026–27 academic year.
According to the official notification, the grant aims to support free education for girls studying in Classes IX to XII. The financial assistance allocated to each school will be based on the number of girl students enrolled.
Schools covered under both the grant-in-aid and fee-based schemes have been instructed to submit enrolment details in the prescribed format.
The completed forms must be submitted to the concerned education office by August 11, officials said.
