NIFT Gandhinagar held its Convocation 2026, with 258 students graduating from seven undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Addressing the combined convocation of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu urged graduates to combine a global outlook with India’s rich cultural heritage and promote sustainable fashion.She highlighted the key role of the textile and apparel sector and called on graduates to support traditional artisans and encourage younger generations to preserve India’s craft traditions.
Ashish Kamta Prasad Mishra of NIFT Gandhinagar received the Gold Medal for Best Academic Performance in the Master of Design (Design Space), securing the honour among students across all NIFT campuses. Several other Gandhinagar students also received awards for their academic and overall performance.
