A woman working as a professor at a private college in Ahmedabad has filed a police complaint against a woman from Rajkot, alleging that she was falsely accused of having an extramarital relationship with the complainant’s husband and defamed through social media posts.
According to the complaint, the professor had earlier lived in Rajkot, where she ran tuition classes. During that period, she taught the two daughters of a man identified as Naveen Chandpa. The professor alleges that Naveen’s wife, Jayashree Chandpa, later accused her of having an affair with her husband.
The complaint states that on July 25, a video was circulated on social media featuring the professor’s photograph alongside images of the couple during an argument. The post allegedly claimed that the professor was involved in a relationship with the woman’s husband and that he visited Ahmedabad to meet her. The video also contained allegations that the husband assaulted his wife, demanded a divorce and threatened their children.
The professor has claimed that the allegations are false and have seriously harmed her reputation. She also alleged that the accused woman called her mother and verbally abused her over the phone.Based on the complaint, police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
