In a shocking turn of events, Arya Ben Viralbai Thakor from the Jalnath Society in Ahmedabad has filed a police complaint alleging fraud amounting to ₹6 lakh related to a visa scheme for Belarus.
The incident unfolded in April 2025 when Arya met Reshma Ben Kalpesh Bhai Patel at an office located on Vaikunth Char Rasta, Vagodia Road. According to Arya’s complaint at the Bapod Police Station, Reshma proposed a plan for travel to Belarus, claiming the total cost would be ₹6 lakh. Eager to seize what seemed like an opportunity, Arya expressed her interest in traveling and even underwent a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) process after being reassured by Reshma.
Initially, Arya handed over ₹1.52 lakh but was told that she would receive her visa within ten days. Trusting this timeline, she subsequently transferred an additional ₹5 lakh to Reshma. However, the promised visa never materialized.
Arya alleges that after receiving the total amount of ₹6 lakh from her, Reshma failed to deliver on her commitments and defrauded her instead.
