For more than a decade, the Rajkot Bicycle Club (RCC) has been promoting fitness, environmental consciousness and healthy living, transforming cycling from a leisure activity into a community-driven movement across the city.
Established in 2015, RCC has carved out a unique identity by advocating cycling not just as a sport, but as a way of life centred on physical fitness, discipline and sustainable living.
“Cycling is not just a hobby for us; it is a people’s movement towards fitness, discipline and a better nation,” said RCC founder Divyesh Adhera.
Over the years, the club has grown into one of Rajkot’s most active cycling communities, with nearly 170 members from diverse walks of life, including students, doctors, industrialists, professionals and senior citizens.
Guided by its motto, “Fit Rajkot, Healthy India,” RCC has organised a range of initiatives aimed at encouraging people to adopt cycling and healthier lifestyles.
Among its most popular programmes is Cyclofun, an event that has introduced thousands of residents to cycling while spreading awareness about fitness and environmental sustainability. Another flagship initiative, Cyclomiles, challenges participants to undertake long-distance rides, helping them build endurance, mental strength and self-discipline.
Through regular rides, awareness campaigns and community events, the club continues to inspire people of all ages to embrace cycling as a practical, healthy and eco-friendly mode of living.
