Tension broke out in the Vejalpur police station area on Thursday evening when two groups clashed near Noor Mohammad Park in the Juhapura–Fatehwadi locality following an alleged harassment incident involving a young woman.
Initial reports suggest the dispute was linked to an old quarrel from two months ago, which had reportedly been resolved earlier. However, the issue resurfaced, triggering a heated confrontation.
Eyewitnesses said members of both sides hurled stones and some even used wooden sticks during the fight. A local resident, Aminaben, alleged that one of the men flashed a revolver during the chaos, though police said the claim is still being verified.
Despite the intense stone-pelting, police confirmed that no major injuries were reported. Around 10 to 15 people, including Imran Bharamni and Qurban Bharamni, have been accused of initiating the attack.
Police teams rushed to the spot and quickly brought the situation under control. Legal action has been initiated, and officials are investigating to identify all those involved and verify the allegations.
