Vadodara swimmers delivered an outstanding performance at the Gujarat State Junior and Sub-Junior Aquatic Championship 2026, winning a total of 110 medals and emerging as the best-performing team in the state. The championship was held in Ahmedabad in two phases—from June 26 to 28 and July 4 to 5.
The team secured 28 gold, 36 silver and 46 bronze medals across various events and age categories.
Among the top performers, Madhav Daudia won six gold and one silver medal, while Avani Singh claimed three gold and two silver medals. Jaival Jani earned three gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
Other standout performers included Bhavya Mehta (2 gold, 4 silver), Jaideep Kathiria (2 gold, 3 silver), Smriti Singh (2 gold, 3 silver), Harsh Maheshwari (2 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze), Harshil Wagh (2 gold, 3 bronze), Aarush Lanjewar (2 gold, 1 bronze), Shubham Mere (2 gold), Himani Chauhan (1 gold, 4 silver) and Gurpreet Singh Sindhu (1 gold, 1 bronze). Several other swimmers also contributed to the team’s impressive medal tally.The swimmers trained under coaches Vivek Singh Borlia and Krishna Pandya, with support from trainers Subodh Kumar and Bipin Kumar.
