The fairways of Gulmohar Greens- Golf & Country Club served as the backdrop for exceptional skill and sportsmanship during the GGOY March 2026 tournament. The 1/11 Gulmohar Golfer of the Year 2026 took place during March 13-15 as part of the Gulmohar Greens-Go Golf 2026 event calendar.
In Category 1 (Handicap 0-14), Shyam Naithani delivered a masterclass, securing the win with a gross score of 77 and 41 points. H S Sandhu followed as the runner-up with a gross of 79 and 39 points. Category 2 (Handicap 15-23) saw Hemant Vaidya take the top spot with an impressive 43 points, while Hiren Thakkar became the runner-up with 39 points. In Category 3 (Handicap 24-36), Ujjal Chakraborty triumphed with 42 points, while Lakshi Chaudhary finished as the runner-up with 41 points.
The specialized skill competitions highlighted the precision of the field:
- Straightest Drive (Hole #4): Won by Michael Weir, who landed just 3 inches from the line.
- Closest to Pin (Hole #3): Juhi Mavani took the prize with a distance of 14’5″.
- 2nd Shot Closest to Pin (Hole #9): Rutvik Thakkar impressed by landing his second shot a mere 3 feet from the pin.
Of the 93 golfers who participated in the event, 46 from three categories earned reward points.Since opening in 2015, the club has become a premier destination for competitive golf.
