Bopal police on Friday arrested a man after intercepting a Maruti Suzuki Eeco packed with 79 bottles of illicit IMFL concealed inside the vehicle’s body panels during patrol duty in Ghuma.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Police Inspector B. T. Gohil located the suspicious vehicle near Sky Sol Flats and detained the driver. A search uncovered liquor worth ₹58,315, a mobile phone valued at ₹5,000, and the Eeco van worth ₹2 lakh — bringing the total seizure to ₹2.63 lakh.
The accused, identified as Chandu Khokhriya of Udaipur district in Rajasthan, was arrested. Police are investigating the supply source and intended distribution network.
