A shocking CCTV video from a jewellery shop in Ahmedabad’s Ranip area has gone viral, capturing a violent altercation between a jeweller and a woman.
The footage shows the woman, who appears to be a customer, sitting inside the shop and suddenly throwing chilli powder at the jeweller during their conversation. Startled, the jeweller quickly retaliates, slapping and hitting her multiple times before pushing her out of the store.
Despite the jeweller’s decision not to file a formal complaint, the Ranip police have launched a suo motu inquiry after the video circulated widely on social media. Officials said they are working to trace the woman’s identity and determine whether the act was part of an attempted robbery.
