Gujarat International Finance Tec-City Company Limited (GIFTCL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with London-based QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a leading higher education analytics and insights provider.
The collaboration aims to promote internationalisation of education, knowledge exchange, thought leadership, and ecosystem development. It is expected to enhance GIFT City’s global presence in academic and policy forums, attract top universities, and foster research and innovation.
Sanjay Kaul, managing director and group CEO of GIFTCL, said the partnership would help bring world-class institutions to India, strengthen talent development, and reinforce GIFT City as a financial, tech, and education hub.
Jessica Turner, CEO of QS, highlighted that the tie-up would serve as a gateway for international universities to connect with India while showcasing the country’s strengths in talent, research, and innovation.
Ashwin Fernandes, executive director at QS, added that the initiative would create impactful platforms for knowledge sharing, policy dialogue, and institutional collaborations, positioning GIFT City as a global education gateway.
