IIT Gandhinagar commenced the first edition of ‘IIT Gandhinagar Squash Open’ today.Ashwini Kumar (IAS), Principal Secretary, Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department, Government of Gujarat, inaugurated the national circuit tournament as the Chief Guest in the presence of Prof Amit Prashant, Officiating Director, IITGN.
He also shared that IIT Gandhinagar is going to be one of the venues for the 36th National Games, which are scheduled to begin in Gujarat from September 27, 2022.
The five-day national-level ‘IIT Gandhinagar Squash Open’ tournament is scheduled from August 17 to 21, 2022, and is hosting about 250 athletes from 20 different states across the country.
