Doctors from five medical specialties will begin medical consultations from friday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot, which is still under construction. Interviews for 20 non-academic senior resident doctor positions were held last week, with over 50 MD and MS doctors participating.
The appointment of 17 doctors to various departments at Rajkot AIIMS has been announced.
With this number of doctors on board, an OPD will be established, with operation theatres following after the building’s construction is completed.
Patients are likely to benefit from the construction of a new modern laboratory. A consultation fee of Rs. 10 will be enough. Other services provided by AIIMS include online appointments, a waiting room, counsellors for file services, and more.
