A 14-year-old girl in Gujarat’s Kutch district has accused her parents of repeated sexual assault, physical abuse and confinement after they allegedly objected to her friendship with a boy.
According to her complaint, the girl alleged that her father sexually assaulted her multiple times, while her mother was allegedly present and took photographs of her without her consent.The girl also alleged that she was beaten, denied food and confined at home.
She later sought help from her aunt and approached the police.Based on her complaint, authorities registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested both parents. The girl has been placed in protective custody while the investigation continues.
