ITC Narmada, a luxury collection hotel in Ahmedabad, marks its fourth anniversary with ‘Journey of Narmada’, a week-long culinary showcase celebrating the food and culture shaped by the Narmada River. ‘Journey of Narmada’, which began on August 8 will run till August 15, at Adalaj Pavillion, ITC Narmada’s signature all-day diner.
The concept draws from the journey of the Narmada, from its origins in Madhya Pradesh through the regions of Maharashtra and Gujarat. Its journey connects diverse landscapes, communities and food traditions across the region.
The food festival follows this journey through the culinary traditions of the three states, bringing together signature flavours, regional ingredients and time-honoured recipes that speak of their diverse and rich food cultures.
The culinary journey brings together the distinct food traditions of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat, with recipes prepared with local ingredients. Madhya Pradesh is represented by Dal Bafla, a rustic combination of baked wheat dumplings, dal and ghee. Maharashtra features Puran Poli and Shrikhand, bringing together the sweetness of jaggery and lentils in the former and the richness of hung curd in the latter. Gujarat takes the centre stage with Rotlo and Bharta.
The menu also extends the experience through live counters, regional snacks and traditional preparations. Guests can explore Gujarati favourites such as Dabeli, Ghughra Chaat, live Dhokla, Fafda-Jalebi and Ghotala Pav, alongside Maharashtrian staples including Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji, Misal Pav and Sabudana Vada. The Madhya Pradesh offering includes Indori Poha and Dahi Wada. Together, the menu showcases the diversity of recipes that have evolved along the Narmada river’s cultural landscape.

Adding to the experience, guests also get a chance to spin the Pavilion discount wheel. The wheel offers rewards ranging from 15% to 50% discounts, along with prizes such as an OG Cake and Nutmeg Hamper. The interactive element brings a playful finish to the dining experience and gives guests another reason to engage with the hotel’s anniversary celebration.
The experience is available for brunch from 1pm to 3pm and dinner from 7pm to 11pm till August 15. Guests are advised to make prior reservations for a seamless experience.
