A video of a young woman claiming that drugs are easily available in parts of Vadodara has gone viral on social media, prompting concern and raising questions about drug enforcement in the city.In the video, the woman alleges that drugs can be purchased for as little as Rs 200 in the Fatehganj area.
She also mentions locations such as Navayard and Jetalpur Bridge and refers to the alleged involvement of local drug peddlers.The woman, who calls for strict action against the drug trade, questions the role of law enforcement, saying that if she is aware of such activities, the police should also have the information.
Responding to the viral video, Vadodara Police said they had not received any direct complaint or specific information related to the claims made in the video. However, officials stated that they are monitoring the matter and remain alert.
Police also reiterated that they follow a zero-tolerance policy against drug-related offences and assured that appropriate action will be taken if credible information or evidence is found.
