Karelibagh police have registered a case against a paying guest (PG) accommodation operator in Anandnagar for allegedly failing to follow mandatory tenant verification and rental agreement norms.
According to the complaint filed at Karelibagh Police Station, routine checks are conducted to verify people coming from outside the city to ensure safety and maintain law and order. Police said lack of proper documentation can pose security risks, making such inspections necessary.
During one such check, officials visited “Happy Home” PG in the Karelibagh Anandnagar area. The operator, identified as Ronak Kantilal Mehta, a resident of Akshata Society in Karelibagh, reportedly failed to provide details of rental agreements for the occupants.
Following this, police registered a case against him for violating the notification. Further investigation is in progress.
