Gujarat University (GU) on Friday announced the results of its administrative recruitment exam for 2025–26. Out of 5,288 candidates who appeared, 4,341 cleared the exam, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 81.2%.
The recruitment exam was conducted for multiple posts, including university engineer, technical assistant (library), senior pharmacist (health centre), senior clerk, security officer, PWD junior clerk, press manager, librarian, junior superintendent, key punch operator, laboratory assistant, telephone operator, accounts officer, compounder, field work officer, laboratory technician, lady medical officer, and junior clerk.
Following the declaration of results on the university’s website, the National Students Union of India (NSUI) raised concerns over transparency. The student body demanded that GU publish a complete list of all successful candidates. In a statement, NSUI said that the current format allows only individual candidates to view their results, and making the full list public would help ensure fairness and rule out any favouritism in the selection process.
