Vadodara Airport Ranked 2nd in Customer Satisfaction Survey

The city airport has secured the second position in the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) 2025 conducted by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) across 58 airports. It was ranked in Category II, which includes airports handling 0.5 to 1.5 million passengers annually.

The award was presented to Airport Director MSI Dawood by the AAI Chairman at an event held in New Delhi on March 31.

Officials said the recognition highlights the airport’s consistent efforts to improve passenger experience and service quality.

Vadodara airport scored an impressive 4.98 out of 5 in the survey, just behind leading airports like Khajuraho, Bhopal, and Aurangabad, which scored 4.99.

An official stated that Vadodara airport ranks first among AAI-operated airports in Gujarat, reflecting the coordinated efforts of AAI, airlines, CISF, and other stakeholders.

Officials also noted that the airport is expected to benefit from the Centre’s revamped UDAN scheme, which aims to improve regional air connectivity.

The Union Cabinet recently approved the updated scheme, which includes plans to develop 100 airports and 200 heliports across the country. The initiative focuses on making air travel more affordable and accessible, especially for passengers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, while also supporting domestic aircraft manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

Authorities believe this move will boost connectivity and open up new growth opportunities for airports like Vadodara.
