Amid ongoing redevelopment work at Sabarmati Railway Station, the Railways on Thursday announced revised entry, exit, pick-up and drop arrangements, which will be in effect from January 20 to April 15 to ensure smooth movement of passengers and vehicles.
Outbound passengers will be required to enter the station through a newly designated gate near the MMTS building, close to the Bullet Train station. Vehicles dropping off passengers will exit through the existing entry gate.
Inbound passengers will exit from the Mehsana side, clearly marked along the purple line. This exit will also function as the designated pick-up point. To facilitate commuters, two parking areas have been arranged near the exit gate.
All platforms, from PF-1 to PF-7, remain interconnected through two foot overbridges. Lifts are available on all platforms via the Kalol-side foot overbridge.
The new station building provides unreserved ticket booking counters on the ground floor, reserved ticket booking on the first floor, and a waiting hall on the second floor.
