The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel has left many travelers in a precarious situation. Among them, passengers from Gujarat found themselves stranded in Dubai due to airspace closures resulting from the war.
After reaching out for help, these travelers received assistance from the Indian government, which arranged special flights to bring them home safely. This morning, around 170 passengers landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, reuniting with their families amid emotional scenes.
Many of those who returned recounted their harrowing experiences. They’d been stuck in Dubai for two days, living under the constant fear of bomb and missile sounds echoing nearby. “It was terrifying,” one passenger said, “the atmosphere was filled with uncertainty.”
Despite the chaos surrounding them, most expressed gratitude towards the Indian authorities. Passengers praised the free facilities provided during their ordeal and noted how cooperative officials had been throughout this challenging time.
Families waiting at the airport felt immense relief as they embraced their loved ones back home. The return of these passengers comes just a day after another flight brought 210 individuals from Saudi Arabia to Ahmedabad—highlighting ongoing efforts by Indian officials to ensure safety for those stranded abroad amidst rising tensions.
