Aarihant Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Institute, which is affiliated with Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, inaugurated a six-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Homoeopathic Pharmacy: Module 1 on Monday – September 15. The programme is sponsored by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and coordinated by Rastriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi.

The programme aims to provide students, faculty, and practitioners with both exposure and interaction, encouraging them to engage, question, and innovate. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, the CME seeks to advance research and practice in homoeopathic pharmacy and strengthen its role in India’s healthcare innovation ecosystem.

Delivering the opening address, Shri Adi Rishabh Jain, Hon’ble Vice President of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, said, “Homoeopathy pharmacy offers immense scope for entrepreneurship in drug discovery, standardised formulations, advanced practices, nutraceuticals, and digital healthcare. At Swarrnim, we call this vision ‘HomoeoPreneurship’, where homoeopaths are not only doctors but also innovators and nation-builders.”

He further emphasised that homoeopathy, rooted in compassion and precision, holds the potential to contribute to India’s healthcare economy while extending its global reach.

The inaugural ceremony brought together eminent speakers from the homoeopathy fraternity, including Dr Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, President-MARBH, National Commission for Homoeopathy, Dr Pinakin N Trivedi, Former Chairman, National Commission for Homoeopathy, and Dr Mehul C Trivedi, Deputy Director, Ayush Department, Government of Gujarat, alongside senior academic leadership and faculty members of Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University.

Dr. Anand Chaturvedi, President, Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Homeopathy, highlighted the importance of Continuing Medical Education (CME) for enhancing teachers’ effectiveness.

He emphasized the need for more teachers in pharmacy departments and a stronger focus on research, urging educators to strive for excellence in both teaching and research. He also noted that teachers should aim to reshape students’ preconceived notions by thoroughly exploring fundamental concepts, fostering a deeper appreciation for learning.Dr. Pinakin N. Trivedi, Former Chairman, National Commission for Homoeopathy, Delhi, congratulated Aarihant Homoeopathic Medical College for successfully organizing the CME in Pharmacy. Sharing his experience with the CBCD curriculum, he emphasized the importance of expanding CME participation to more than 30 attendees, ensuring that a maximum number of teachers can benefit and upgrade their knowledge. He also highlighted that every teacher should actively contribute to syllabus development by offering their valuable insights and suggestions, thereby enriching the academic framework.The six-day CME will cover diverse aspects of homoeopathic pharmacy, including the identification of raw materials, pharmacodynamics, preservation methods, and the interconnectedness of pharmacy with Materia Medica and allied sciences. Experts from renowned institutions such as RGUHS Bengaluru, Calcutta Homoeopathic Medical College, Government Homoeopathic Medical College Gujarat, BR Sur Homoeopathic Medical College Delhi, and Schwabe India will be addressing the sessions.Conceived as a platform for knowledge exchange and research-driven practice, the CME seeks to inspire greater integration of pharmacy within homoeopathic education and clinical application, while providing participants with practical insights from some of the most distinguished voices in the field.
