Mumbai U-25 posted 226-3 against Vidarbha on Day One of their CK Nayudu Trophy final in Ahmedabad on Sunday, credit goes to opener Bhupen Lalwani (88, 104, 16) and No.4 Armaan Jaffer (76 not out, 74, 26).
Mumbai batted first and lost opener Divyaansh Saxena (7) and skipper Hardik Tamore (22) early, but Lalwani and Armaan showed discipline by sharing a 52-run third wicket stand. Mumbai ended the day on a high note when Suved Parkar (29 not out) joined Armaan to form an unbeaten 72-run partnership.
Meanwhile, in the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy semi-final against Maharashtra in Kolkata on Day One, captain Musheer Khan smashed 134 (184, 16) to pile up 318-4 at stumps. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, the opener, scored 81 off 10 fours and two sixes.
