A Malaysian gynaecologist named John Tang Ing Chinh created what he says is the world’s first-ever unisex condom that can be worn by both men and women.
The condoms are made of the same material as transparent would dressing, thin and flexible protection. Once perfected, it will be reversible and can be worn regardless of sex.

The doctor said the condom is made of medical-grade materials commonly used to dress wounds such as polyurethane and works just like any other condom. But it has a few differences.
“It’s basically a regular condom with an adhesive covering. It attaches to the vagina or penis, as well as covers the adjacent area for extra protection,” he said.

“Based on the number of clinical trials we have conducted, I am quite optimistic that given time it will be a meaningful addition to the many contraceptive methods used in the prevention of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases,” Tang said.
The adhesive in the condom is only applied to one side. It means it can easily be reversed and used by either sex.
Each box of Wondaleaf will contain two condoms and is likely to cost $3.61, 14.99 ringgit in Malaysia
The Wonderleaf had gone through several rounds of testing and clinical research before it was formally announced as a unisex condom. He said it would be available commercially via the firm’s website this December.
