MS Dhoni scored a crucial 18* off 6 as Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 4 wickets to qualify for IPL 2021 final. Delhi are still in the race and will face the winner of Eliminator in the 2nd Qualifier.

MS Dhoni’s late blitz of 18* off 6 and half-centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa propelled Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their 9th IPL final. Although Gaikwad (70 off 50) and Uthappa (63 off 44) did the heavy lifting to put CSK on the brink of a win, it was Dhoni’s cameo that mattered in the end as the asking rate surged to 12 in the final 2 overs

Continuing the trend of batting before Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni walked out following Gaikwad’s dismissal on the first delivery of the 19th over. The 2nd ball Dhoni faced, he cleared the fence with ease.
