Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating his 61st birthday on November 2, with fans across the country marking the occasion with grand celebrations and tributes to the actor. Fondly known as the ‘King of Bollywood’, Khan’s birthday has once again turned into a special occasion for his admirers, who gathered outside his Mumbai residence, Mannat, to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. This year, however, the celebrations come with a special treat as the actor’s upcoming film ‘King’ takes centre stage.
The celebrations began ahead of his birthday, with Mumbai’s iconic Bandra-Worli Sea Link illuminated with special visuals and greetings dedicated to the superstar. His residence, Mannat, was also adorned with larger-than-life projections featuring visuals and dialogues from ‘King’. Although Khan did not make his customary balcony appearance, he acknowledged the overwhelming affection by sharing a handwritten message thanking fans for their wishes and sending them love in return. He also took a late-night drive to see the special tribute on the Sea Link and shared pictures of it on social media.
Adding to the birthday celebrations, the makers of ‘King’ released the film’s first song, ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The romantic track offers a glimpse into the film’s mix of love, drama and action. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Raghav Juyal, among others. It is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on December 24, 2026.
From television beginnings and romantic blockbusters to action-packed performances and record-breaking box-office successes, Shah Rukh Khan has built a career spanning more than three decades. His journey from a newcomer in the film industry to one of Indian cinema’s most recognised global stars has earned him an enormous fan following across generations. As he turns 61, the celebrations reflect the enduring popularity of an actor whose screen presence and connection with audiences continue to make headlines.
