Chiripal Group Hosts Actor Boman Irani at 54th Foundation Day Celebrations

Ahmedabad-headquartered textile-led diversified conglomerate, Chiripal Group, celebrated its 54th Foundation Day on Wednesday at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, in Ahmedabad. Renowned actor of Indian cinema, Mr Boman Irani attended the group’s Foundation Day celebrations as the Chief Guest, along with noted squash athlete Suraj Chand as the Guest of Honour.

Chiripal Group promoters, employees and staff members all came together for an evening of celebration, honouring sporting performances and merriment.

Mr Boman Irani’s presence added a special dimension to the celebrations, with the actor sharing the occasion with the Group’s promoters and employees. Suraj Chand, who won a bronze medal at the Asian Games, attended as Guest of Honour. He is supported by the Chiripal Squash Excellence Programme, the Group’s initiative to support squash talent and competitive opportunities for athletes.

During the keynote address, Mr Boman Irani said, “There are no shortcuts in life. There are no magic bullets. You have to pay your dues. When you go from the basement, you work your way up to the shop-floor level. If you work really hard, you will reach the rooftop. When you decide to do something, always deliver. When you decide to do something, do your best.”

“When we become successful, we want to become even more successful. There is nothing wrong with that. We want to make more money. There is nothing wrong with that. But with each ladder of success, the perks become better and better. Don’t let the perks of your job become more important than the job itself. Stay rooted. Stay humble,” he further went on to say.

The programme opened with an employee talent show featuring singing, dancing and other performances by Chiripal Group employees. The formal ceremony included a presentation on Chiripal Group’s journey, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ronak Chiripal, Promoter, Chiripal Group, said, “Our Foundation Day is an opportunity to reflect on the Group’s journey and acknowledge the people whose efforts and commitment have shaped Chiripal Group’s growth, over the years. Our employees are central to this journey, and it is important to create opportunities for them to connect beyond their everyday roles. The Chiripal Spark Sports Festival encourages participation, discipline and team spirit, while giving employees a platform to pursue their sporting interests and celebrate their achievements. We want to continue building a culture where people have the opportunity to grow, contribute and excel, both at work and beyond it. It is this collective effort that continues to move the Group forward.”

The event also recognised winners of the Chiripal Spark Sports Festival 2026, with medals presented to employees who excelled across the sporting events. The annual festival brings together employees from across Chiripal Group companies, encouraging participation in sport and strengthening camaraderie across teams.

The Foundation Day celebrations of Chiripal Group are indeed an opportunity for the management and promoters to focus on its people, shared achievements and continued growth across its diverse businesses.
