The Aluminium Extrusion Manufacturers Association of India (ALEMAI) is set to host ALUMINIUM BHARAT-2026, a national initiative aimed at bringing India’s aluminium value chain together on a common platform. The four-day event will connect extrusion and rolling sheet manufacturers, recyclers, technology providers, buyers and downstream industries to explore new business opportunities, technology partnerships and avenues for value addition.
ALUMINIUM BHARAT-2026 spreads across more than 30,000 sq. metres. This mega exhibition will take place from September 26–29, 2026, at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, alongside ALUMEX INDIA 2026. The event is expected to be attended by various industry professionals, buyers, technology companies and international stakeholders. The platform will feature B2B interactions, technical sessions and industry engagements across the aluminium ecosystem.
The event comes at a time when India’s aluminium industry is witnessing growing demand from automotive and electric mobility, renewable energy, construction, electrical, infrastructure and engineering sectors. At the same time, changing global trade dynamics, supply-chain disruptions and evolving sustainability requirements are reshaping the industry landscape. These developments are placing greater emphasis on domestic value addition, recycling, cost competitiveness and building resilient supply chains.
“India has built strong capabilities across the aluminium sector, and the next opportunity lies in strengthening the connections between different segments of the value chain. ALUMINIUM BHARAT-2026 is designed to bring these stakeholders together, encourage technology and knowledge exchange, and create new opportunities for domestic and international business,” said Jitendra Chopra, President, ALEMAI.
As part of its industry engagement, ALEMAI is seeking greater government attention and policy support to strengthen the competitiveness of India’s downstream aluminium sector. The association is also seeking policy attention to tariff rationalisation and measures to ease energy and financing costs. The association is further advocating for stronger domestic consumption and demand creation, along with greater alignment of India’s aluminium strategy with evolving global trends.
These priorities are increasingly relevant as India seeks to expand value-added manufacturing and strengthen its position in global supply chains. The Government’s Aluminium Vision document has identified value addition, recycling, resource security, low-carbon technologies and global competitiveness as important areas for the sector’s long-term development.
ALEMAI: The Aluminium Extrusion Manufacturers Association of India (ALEMAI) is the apex body representing India’s aluminium extrusion industry, comprising over 250 members nationwide. After downstream (extrusion, roll products, wire rod, alloy casting), combining all midstream and downstream annual production capacity of 4.2 million tons, the aluminium primary and downstream industry together support more than 10 lakh direct and indirect jobs. ALEMAI plays a pivotal role in promoting innovation, sustainability, and global competitiveness, while working closely with policymakers and industry stakeholders. The association serves as a unified platform for businesses of all sizes, driving progress, sharing best practices, and shaping the future of the aluminium extrusion sector in India.
