Surat is set to strengthen its air connectivity with a new direct link to Navi Mumbai, as Air India Express is expected to commence daily flights between the two cities from October 25, coinciding with the start of the Winter Schedule 2026.
The airline is scheduled to operate the Navi Mumbai–Surat–Navi Mumbai route once a day. According to the schedule currently available online, flight IX 1534 will take off from Navi Mumbai International Airport at 5 am and land in Surat at 5.55 am.
The return service, IX 1535, will depart from Surat at 11.15 pm and arrive in Navi Mumbai at 12.10 am the following day. Both services are listed as non-stop flights, with an estimated travel time of 55 minutes.
Tickets for the new route are already available for booking through Air India Express and other online travel platforms ahead of the implementation of the winter schedule on October 25.
The new connection could also benefit passengers travelling beyond Navi Mumbai. Aviation experts expect the route to complement Air India Express’ hub-and-spoke network by providing travellers from Surat with access to onward domestic and international services operating from Navi Mumbai International Airport.
