Thirteen-year-old twins Diya and Diva Shastri, students of Delhi Public School (DPS), Gandhinagar, have transformed their love for art into a social initiative, The Giving Palette – Express, Empower, Evolve, aimed at supporting children with special needs.
Funding the project themselves through the sale of over 250 original paintings, the sisters provided school uniforms to 100 students and distributed art kits to all 200 children at Ahmedabad’s School for the Deaf and Mute.
As part of the initiative, they also conducted structured art workshops on oil pastels and acrylic painting with support from Kokuyo Camlin volunteers and Dream Art World.
Through The Giving Palette, the young artists seek to foster creativity, build confidence and promote inclusion, demonstrating how art can become a powerful medium for social impact.
