The Bengal Cultural Association (BCA), Ahmedabad Kalibari, celebrated its annual day with a vibrant cultural programme featuring theatre, dance and music, drawing around 550 members and guests.
The evening commenced with Kapal Kundala, a stage adaptation of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s celebrated novel. Directed by Prasenjit Dutta, the production was presented in a theatrical format for the first time. Three students from Bangladesh studying at Gujarat University also participated in the play.
The celebrations concluded with Tusu Bhadu, a dance drama based on Bengal’s rich folk traditions and indigenous culture. Written by Prasenjit Dutta and choreographed by Indrani Ganguli, the performance showcased the state’s vibrant cultural heritage through music and dance.
