Prin. M. C. Shah Commerce College which is part of Navgujarat Group of colleges celebrated International Yoga Day today with great enthusiasm. The programme was jointly organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS), National Cadet Corps (NCC), and the Sports Department of the college.
The event was conducted under the guidance and inspiration of Principal Dr. N. D. Shah. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and a large number of students actively participated in the celebration, demonstrating their commitment to health and well-being.
Led by experienced yoga instructors, participants collectively performed various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation exercises. The session highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy lifestyle. Participants were also encouraged to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and expressed their commitment to practising it regularly.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. N. D. Shah emphasized the significance of making yoga an integral part of everyday life. He congratulated the organisers from the NSS, NCC, and Sports Department, and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, and staff.
The programme concluded on a positive note, successfully commemorating International Yoga Day 2026 and reinforcing the message of holistic health and wellness among the college community.
