The Devbhumi Dwarka district administration has imposed a ban on swimming and sea bathing at Shivrajpur Beach, a Blue Flag-certified tourist destination, in view of the approaching monsoon season and rough sea conditions.
The restriction has been enforced as a precautionary measure to protect visitors from strong currents, high waves, and dangerous undercurrents commonly witnessed in the Arabian Sea during the monsoon months.
According to an order issued by the Additional District Magistrate of Devbhumi Dwarka, the ban covers a nearly five-kilometre coastal stretch extending from the Shivrajpur Beach Lighthouse to the end of the Khadi-2 point area.
Officials said the prohibition on entering the sea for swimming or bathing will remain in force until July 30. Tourists visiting the beach during this period have been advised to stay away from the water and adhere to safety instructions issued by authorities.
The administration has also warned that strict action will be taken against individuals violating the order. Visitors have been urged to cooperate with officials and follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents during the monsoon season.
