The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has decided to operate all premium AC bus services between Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar through the newly developed Ahmedabad–Dholera Express Highway, a move aimed at reducing travel time and cutting fares for passengers.
According to GSRTC, 24 daily trips running between Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar from 5 am to 6 pm will now ply on the new route. Premium bus services on the Gandhinagar–Diu and Gandhinagar–Mahuva routes will also be diverted through the Dholera Express Highway.
Following the route revision, the Ahmedabad–Bhavnagar fare has been reduced to Rs 336, providing passengers with a saving of nearly Rs 15.
GSRTC said the new alignment is expected to ensure quicker connectivity and offer a smoother, more comfortable travel experience for commuters.
