Gandhinagar’s education scene is heating up as the Gujarat Board has just announced the Class 12 Board Examination results. With this, students are gearing up for college admissions through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal, which streamlines the process for over 100 undergraduate programs across various universities in the state.
The admission process kicks off with multiple rounds. Here’s what students need to know:
- Registration Round 1: From May 7 at 11:00 AM to May 28 at 11:59 PM.
- Merit List Processing: From May 29 to June 1, offers will be available on student dashboards at midnight on June 1.
- Admission Round Details:
- Round 1: June 2-6
- Round 2: June 8-13
- Round 3: June 15-20
- Round 4: June 22-29
The admission steps are straightforward but essential for securing a spot:
- Quick Registration: Sign up on GCAS with your mobile number and email for updates.
- Select Preferences: Fill out your educational details and preferred university-college combinations. If grades are shown only, upload a Conversion Certificate.
- Check Offers: After each round, log in to see if you’ve received an offer based on merit.
- Confirm Your Choice: Accept an offer online, or provide “Consent” if you want to aim higher in subsequent rounds.
- Dive into College Life: Report to your assigned college with originals and self-attested copies of documents; final confirmation happens via OTP there.
A few important points about preferences: when you accept an offer from a college, all lower preferences are deactivated. Also, if you’re keen on higher options later, don’t forget to click “Consent.” Otherwise, you might miss out!
