Surat: Ventura AirConnect has brought back its daily flight services connecting Surat to key destinations like Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Amreli. This move is set to significantly streamline travel between South Gujarat and the Saurashtra region.
The new flights allow passengers to reach Bhavnagar in just 30 minutes, Amreli in approximately 45 minutes, and both Ahmedabad and Rajkot in under 60 minutes.
For over eleven years, Ventura AirConnect has been operating regional services with its fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan nine-seater aircraft. However, operations at Surat International Airport hit a snag on January 7 when the airline’s agreement under the Gujarat government’s Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme expired. This led to almost two months of halted flights, frustrating many passengers and local businesses.
The airline recently introduced an ultra-safe Pilatus PC-12 eight-seater aircraft for charter services aimed at emergency situations and corporate travel throughout Gujarat. They’ve also rolled out a dedicated organ-transport service designed for swift inter-city human organ transfers — a critical initiative intended to enhance medical logistics.
Moreover, Ventura AirConnect is making strides by establishing Surat’s first advanced aircraft maintenance facility. This development is expected to draw in aircraft from all over India while helping position Surat as a viable alternative for maintenance amidst rising congestion and costs at larger airports like Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
