The three-day Inter-College Competition Narrative at GLS University is offering students not just a platform to perform, but a vibrant space to think, question and express their voices. The competition brings together art, culture, social consciousness, and youth expression in a truly immersive experience.
Under the guidance of President Sudhir Nanavati and the leadership of Executive Director Chandani Kapaadiya, Narrative is emerging as a platform where students can freely express their identity, ideology, and emotions. The vision of providing students with a lifelong, memorable experiential journey was clearly reflected in every activity on the second day.
Day two featured a wide range of impactful events. Under the Drama section, Nukkad Natak (street theatre) was organized, where students portrayed serious social issues such as the Water Crisis, Digital Arrest, and Corruption.
In the Dance category, performances were based on the theme of Indian Cultural Dance. Through Garba, Rajasthani dance, Ghoomar, Bhangra, Mishra Raas, and other folk dance forms, students brought alive the diversity, vibrancy, and energy of Indian culture.
The Fine Arts events included cartooning, on-the-spot painting, Rangoli, mehendi and nail art competitions. Contemporary themes such as Women Empowerment, Digital India, Disconnect to Reconnect, and Technology were explored, with students delivering strong messages through creative expression.
The literary events featured a debate competition on the topic, “Whether modernity and tradition can co-exist.” Students presented thought-provoking arguments, enriching the discussion.
In the Music category, Western Group Singing and Indian Group Singing competitions were held, where students delivered soulful as well as energetic performances across various genres.
Technology events included competitions such as Binary Battle and Vision Craft. A special attraction was the Human Library, an innovative setup where students became “human books” and shared diverse life stories and perspectives. The setup was creatively decorated by students around the theme of famous books and literature.
Additionally, a dark room inspired by the themes of Harry Potter and Narnia was created, offering students an immersive and magical experience.
Overall, the second day of Narrative was extremely colourful, vibrant and filled with youthful energy, transforming the campus into a living story.
