Vadodara is once again experiencing mixed weather, with cold mornings continuing despite a rise in daytime temperatures. The recent snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Manali has had a direct impact on the city’s climate.
Although the temperature touched 19°C on Tuesday, the morning remained chilly due to dense fog and strong winds. The sun stayed hidden until around 11 am, adding to the cold feeling during early hours.
On the day of the Kite Festival, the temperature had dropped to 10°C. Since then, temperatures have been gradually rising, with 17.8°C recorded on Monday and 19°C on Tuesday, bringing noticeable warmth in the afternoon.
However, the morning cold persisted because of foggy conditions, and weather officials have not ruled out another cold spell if cloud movement changes in the coming days.
Earlier, Vadodara saw a sharp drop in minimum temperature from 17.8°C on January 23 to 12.8°C on January 24 — a fall of 5°C within 24 hours — intensifying the cold across the city.
