The Gujarat government will begin procuring wheat at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of 2,585 per quintal for the Rabi Marketing Season 2026–27, as fixed by the central government. The procurement process will start with farmer registration from February 1.
The exercise will be carried out by the Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (GSCSC) as part of the state’s annual initiative to ensure fair prices for farmers while strengthening the public distribution system.
Farmers wishing to sell wheat at the MSP must complete online registration at the village level through Village Computer Entrepreneurs (VCEs) or authorised facilitators. Registration will be open from February 1 to March 1, 2026, and will require biometric authentication linked to the farmer’s account.
Wheat procurement at designated MSP centres will take place from March 4 to May 15, 2026. Purchases will be allowed only after successful biometric verification of the registered farmer.
Officials have warned that incorrect or fraudulent documents will lead to cancellation of registration, and such cases will not be informed about procurement. GSCSC has advised eligible farmers to complete registration on time and seek help from their Gram Panchayat if needed.
