Department of Civil Engineering, IITRAM conducts 5-days Short Term Training Programme for Practicing Engineers of various municipal corporations across Gujarat on ‘Training of Road and Bridge Infrastructure’ from November 24-28, 2025. The training programme was powered by Gujarat Urban Development Institute (GUDI), Government of Gujarat.
A five-day technical training programme was successfully conducted, bringing together 37 practicing engineers for an in-depth capacity-building initiative. The programme covered key areas including geotechnical and geosynthetics investigations for roads and bridges, pavement design, and inspection of existing bridges with construction challenges and techniques of prestressed bridges. Participants benefitted from hands-on training sessions and site visits, providing practical exposure to real-world applications. A dedicated knowledge-sharing session further enabled engineers to exchange expertise and best practices with their peers, enhancing collaborative learning.The programme concluded with positive feedback, reflecting its effectiveness in strengthening technical skills and professional competence among the participating engineers.
