Crraft Of Art, an initiative dedicated to bringing India’s historic architectural spaces to lifehosted a series of immersive heritage conversations across the old city today as part of the World Heritage Week celebration. The events, supported by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, highlighted the city’s intangible heritage through storytelling, culinary traditions, and artistic interpretation.

The day began with “Whispers of the Walls” at Manek Burj, where the stories of Manek Baba, the River, and the chowk that shaped Ahmedabad’s early identity were narrated.

Culinary heritage came to the fore at “Ras Rivāj”. The walk traced the city’s flavourful journey, highlighting traditions preserved through generations.

The sketching experience “Otlo: Stories in Line”,captured the nuances of everyday life along the city’s historic threshold. Another highlight was “The City in Lines” exhibition at Diwanjini Haveli, showcasing sketches that reflect Ahmedabad’s living architectural heritage.
Birwa Qureshi, Founder of CrraftOf Art, said, “Architecture, food, and art have been integral parts of Ahmedabad’s history of more than 600 years, and are living reminders of the people, traditions, and stories that define the city. These events are a continuation of our efforts to make people aware of our rich heritage, and inspire citizens to preserve the legacy that surrounds us.”
