The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), under the IndiaAI Mission, has launched ‘YUVA AI for ALL’, a free national course aimed at helping citizens—especially the youth—understand the basics of Artificial Intelligence.
This 4.5-hour self-paced programme introduces learners to key AI concepts, real-world applications, and safe, responsible use of AI tools. The course is available for free on platforms such as FutureSkills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi, and other leading ed-tech sites. Participants will receive an official Government of India certificate upon completion.
Through six short modules, learners will:
- Understand what AI is and how it works
- Explore how AI is reshaping education, creativity, and work
- Learn safe and responsible AI practices
- Discover India-focused AI use cases
- Get insights into future AI opportunities
Why it matters
The course is free, accessible anytime and anywhere, and open to all students, professionals, and curious learners. It strengthens India’s push toward building an AI-skilled population, with MeitY targeting to train 1 crore (10 million) citizens in foundational AI skills.
Schools, colleges, and organisations can partner with IndiaAI to expand the reach of the programme. Developed by AI expert Jaspreet Bindra, Founder of AI & Beyond, the course blends global AI knowledge with Indian contexts, focusing on ethical and inclusive AI use.
