More than 50 candidates trained at the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2025, according to provisional data released after the announcement of results by the Union Public Service Commission.
Officials said that of the 635 SPIPA-trained aspirants who appeared for the UPSC Preliminary Examination this year from various regional centres across Gujarat, 272 qualified for the Mains.
The Mains were held in August 2025, and results show that 49 candidates from SPIPA’s current batch — those receiving stipends — have cleared the exam. Including previous batches, the total number of qualifiers exceeds 50.
Last year, 70 SPIPA candidates had advanced to the interview stage, and officials expect an even higher count this year once the final list is confirmed.
SPIPA has also announced free mock interviews for all candidates who have qualified for the personality test, including those who pursued external coaching.
The UPSC interview process for the 2025 Civil Services Examination will take place between February and March 2026. In the previous cycle, 26 candidates from Gujarat made it to the final merit list.
