Porbandar (Gujarat), September 23 (H.S.): Panic gripped Porbandar’s coast early Monday after a major cargo vessel, Hari Darshan, caught fire and was repeatedly rocked by explosions near Chowpatty. Authorities immediately restricted public access to the area as a precaution.
The vessel, which had sailed from Jamnagar, remains ablaze, with onboard LPG cylinders suspected to be fueling the blasts and hindering firefighting operations.
Police, district officials, and emergency teams rushed to the site, but the fire continues to rage uncontrollably. Authorities confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far.
