Dr. Navneet Khanna, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IITRAM has been honored with the prestigious CLARIVATE India Research Excellence – Citation Awards 2025 in Engineering and Technology. Dr. Khanna exemplifies the spirit of innovation nurtured at IITRAM. His research focuses on smart and sustainable manufacturing, with an emphasis on metal additive manufacturing, its post-processing requirements, tribology, and advanced cooling systems. A strong advocate for the circular economy, he is also a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) expert, having conducted numerous LCA studies.
The awardees were selected by an expert panel at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), following a robust methodology that combined quantitative bibliometric analysis—including highly cited papers—with qualitative review, based on data from the Web of Science Core Collection and InCites Benchmarking & Analytics. The 2025 Citation Awards considered publications from 2019 to 2024, while the Lifetime Achievement Award assessed research contributions dating back to 1980.
