Gold prices saw a marginal rise on Tuesday, with 24-carat gold up by 10 to 1,13,080 per 10 grams, as per GoodReturns. Silver prices also moved higher, gaining 100 to trade at 1,38,100 per kilogram.
In the 22-carat category, gold edged up 10 to 1,03,660 per 10 grams. City-wise, 24-carat gold was priced at 1,13,080 in Mumbai and Kolkata, 1,13,230 in Delhi, and 1,13,790 in Chennai. For 22-carat gold, rates stood at 1,03,660 in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad; 1,03,810 in Delhi; and 1,04,310 in Chennai.
Silver traded at 1,38,100 per kg in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, while Chennai quoted a higher 1,48,100.
Globally, spot gold rose 0.2% to $3,752.43 per ounce at 0123 GMT after hitting a record $3,758.03 earlier in the session. US gold futures for December delivery were up 0.3% at $3,787.60, supported by expectations of US rate cuts and a weaker dollar. Investors now await policy remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
