Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani on Friday said Reliance Jio Platforms will file for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the first half of 2026.
According to a media report,ccording tspeaking at the 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries, Ambani said, “It is my proud privilege to announce that Jio is making all arrangements to file for its IPO. We aim to list Jio by the first half of 2026, subject to necessary approvals. I am confident this will prove to be an attractive opportunity for investors, showcasing Jio’s ability to create value on par with global peers.”
Ambani also revealed that Jio will expand its operations overseas and build its own artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Jio crosses 500 million customers
Marking its 10th year, Jio has surpassed 500 million customers, Ambani announced. He credited Jio with transforming India’s digital landscape—making calls free, popularising video streaming, and enabling digital infrastructure such as Aadhaar and UPI. He also highlighted Jio’s role in fostering India’s startup ecosystem, which now hosts over 100 unicorns.
Five priorities for Jio’s next growth phase
Ambani outlined Jio’s roadmap, which includes:
- Connecting every Indian through mobile and broadband.
- Equipping households with digital services like Jio Smart Home, JioTV+, and Jio TV OS.
- Driving business digitisation through secure platforms.
- Leading India’s AI revolution with the motto “AI Everywhere for Everyone.”
- Expanding Jio’s presence overseas.
