The Ahmedabad District Education Officer (DEO) has issued a fifth and final notice to the private school where a Class 10 student was allegedly stabbed to death by a classmate.
The school has been asked to submit certified copies of several crucial documents by Friday, failing which the DEO warned of “unilateral action” as per rules.Parents also staged a protest outside the DEO’s office on Thursday, demanding cancellation of the school’s No Objection Certificate (NoC).
Earlier this week, the DEO had directed the suspension of the principal, administration head, and other staff members but said the school has not submitted any explanation or evidence so far.
The documents demanded include approval certificates for classes, NoCs from the state education department and fire department, building usage permissions, trust deed, teacher qualifications, salary details, and affiliation certificates, among others.
DEO Rohit Chaudhary’s notice warned that if the school fails to comply within the deadline, it will be assumed that the institution does not wish to respond and action will be taken accordingly.
