Students of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will soon be able to access their marksheets and certificates online through DigiLocker.
The Gujarat education department has approved the move, which will benefit nearly 15 lakh students every year. Board chairman M.A. Pandya said officials are coordinating with the Ministry of Electronics and IT to complete the process.
Students will be able to log in with their name or number and password to download documents anytime.The board has already digitised over 5 crore marksheets dating back to 1952. These records, along with new ones, will be uploaded in phases, starting with the latest batch of students.
Currently, 109 universities and colleges in India use DigiLocker to store academic documents as per UGC guidelines.
